What is a cryptogram?
In this classic brain game, each letter of the alphabet is secretly assigned a number. A famous quote appears on screen — but most letters are hidden. Only a few letter-number pairs are revealed. Your mission: decode the full quote using logic, deduction, and pattern recognition. The more you play, the more challenging it gets — and it's a great workout for your brain.
How the cryptogram game works
- Each letter A–Z is randomly mapped to a number (1–26)
- A real quote is displayed with only a few coded letters revealed
- Use the clues to figure out which numbers map to which letters
- Type in your guesses to decode the full quote
- You can make up to 2 mistakes before the puzzle resets
- Difficulty increases as you progress — fewer letters are revealed in later games
Why play cryptograms?

- Trains short-term memory and symbol recognition
- Enhances pattern matching and strategic thinking
